Steve Rybar, Founder & CEO
With 40+ years of experience in the security and intelligence industry, Rybar is the Founder and CEO of Nevada-based Reliance Security, a provider of state-of-the-art security services and solutions for individuals, businesses and events. A renowned expert in investigations, Rybar consults with clients globally, including complex cases in China and Russia. He served 12 years as a Special Agent in the FBI assigned to the Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas offices. During this period, Rybar investigated bank fraud, white collar crime and political corruption, and was charged with directing surveillance and undercover operations. Rybar’s military service includes two years as an Intelligence Officer assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division reaching the level of company Commander.
Joel Logan, COO
In this leadership role, Logan is responsible for business strategy planning and marketing. A former law enforcement officer with more than 10 years of experience, Logan has an extensive background in Use of Force and the associated liability training. While employed by the San Bernardino Police Department, Logan was responsible for managing and evaluating the performance of Police Officers. He created policy and procedure manuals and is a trainer in report writing and critical incident documentation. In addition, Logan has expertise in private security, managing teams in excess of 400 officers. Previously, he received government security clearance and served as a Lead Investigator for an aerospace company. He served as Corporate Security Officer and Contract Manager on a Department of Homeland Security federal contract.
Ronald Gibson, Director of Operations
With more than 15 years of experience in the private security industry, Gibson is responsible for the day-to-day operations which encompass client communications and oversight of the company’s security force. A veteran of the United States Navy, Gibson’s expertise in training enables him to prepare officers to reflect each client’s need. Previous positions include Loss Prevention Operations Manager and Assistant Administrator with Corrections.
Erica Grabowski, Director of Business Development
Joining Reliance Security in 2014, Grabowski is responsible for creating long-term business relationships that will achieve high client satisfaction and retention. She plays an active role in developing new services with integrated security technology. Prior industry experience includes Gaylord Security Systems, National Security Alarms Inc. and Andrews International.
Leilani Avecilla, Director of Finance
Avecilla leads the financial operations as she oversees budget analysis and forecasting. She has increased cost efficiency by introducing new accounting procedures. Avecilla works closely with business development to identify account opportunities and has extensive experience in business taxes and planning.
Alyson Jamison, APR, Director of Public Relations
Jamison directs public relations and marketing initiatives for Reliance Security. A member of the Public Relations Society of America, she brings 10+ years of experience in the industry and has successfully secured clients in a wide range of local, national and industry media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fast Company and Fox Business Channel. In addition, she’s an expert source who’s been featured in Forbes and various PR publications.
Magdalena Groover, Board Member
Magdalena Groover is a highly respected, bilingual private investigator with an extensive background in local, state and worldwide investigations. Her experience includes detailed background investigations, asset reports, surveillance, criminal and civil investigations, personal injury, and more. President of Magdalena Groover Investigations, Groover serves attorneys, businesses, and individuals facing possible criminal investigation and those involved in litigation. A private investigator since 2004, Groover’s portfolio includes Compliance Investigator for the Nevada Equal Rights Commission, Investigator at David Groover & Associates, and she was appointed to the Nevada Commission of Ethics by former Governor Jim Gibbons in 2010 and reappointed by Governor Brian Sandoval in 2015. Additional experience includes Compliance Officer for Thomson Kernaghan, a Canadian brokerage firm, and Legal Adviser for Viva Gaming and Resort of Mexico. In 2016, Groover was honored with the Top 100 Women of the Year award by MyVegas for her positive impact in the community. Groover earned her law degree from the University National of Mexico (UNAM).
