Reliance Security announced today the transfer of ownership from founder Steve Rybar to the organization’s longtime Chief Operating Officer, Joel Logan.
Logan, with an extensive background in security and law enforcement, has worked closely with Rybar since the company’s inception in 2012 to provide clients with exceptional security services and solutions. As Reliance’s new owner and CEO, Logan will oversee operations and maintain the existing brand, team, and service offerings.
A former law enforcement officer for more than 10 years, Logan has expertise in Use of Force and the associated liability training. While employed by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department and San Bernardino Police Department, Logan was responsible for managing and evaluating the performance of Police Officers. He created policy and procedure manuals and was a trainer in report writing and critical incident documentation. In addition, Logan has expertise in private security, managing teams in excess of 400 officers. Previously, he received government security clearance and served as a Lead Investigator for an aerospace company. He served as Corporate Security Officer and Contract Manager on a Department of Homeland Security federal contract.
“I’m honored that Steve has entrusted me to carry on the mission of the company he created. Along with the wonderful staff that will remain intact, we will strive to preserve its foundation and continue to provide our clients with exceptional service,” shared Logan.
Reliance offers security services to residential community associations, hotels and resorts, high net-worth individuals, general contractors, commercial and corporate developments, and at major events.
“There’s no better person to carry it forward than Joel. I’m certain that he will maintain the emphasis on Reliance’s values, service, and excellence,” said Rybar.
Rybar, a former FBI agent, will serve on Reliance’s Board of Directors and provide consultation services to the company.
