To begin the application process, all candidates must have a State of Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board Work Card which requires a background check and successful completion of a test of general security knowledge.

After meeting this minimum qualification, individuals must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a background check as well as demonstrate skill in report writing.
